25: The Holy Spirit and the Heart with Simeon Zahl
Simeon Zahl, Professor of Christian Theology at the University of Cambridge, joins us to talk about the Holy Spirit. Our conversation ranges from who the Holy Spirit is to how we understand Christian experience to how the Book of Common Prayer is written with emotion in mind.
Zahl is an historical and constructive theologian whose research interests span the period from 1500 to the present. His most recent book, The Holy Spirit and Christian Experience, focuses on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. It proposes a new account of the work of the Spirit in salvation through the lens of affect and embodiment.
