9: Theology in the Public Sphere with Angela Gorrell

For this episode, the Rev’d Dr. Angela Gorrell joins us. We talk about public theology, ministry in the new media landcape, the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, grief, lament, and joy.
Gorrell is a public theologian and the author of Always On and The Gravity of Joy. Her research has been highlighted in the New York Times, NPR, Christianity Today, and elsewhere. Gorrell has taught at Yale University, Baylor University, McCormick Theological Seminary, and Fuller Theological Seminary. Gorrell speaks and writes about joy, meaning, finding the life worth living, and the intersection of spiritual and mental health. She and her sister, Coach Steph, co-host the Grief Sisters podcast and the Grief Sisters Book Club and Facebook group.
