Nurturing Spiritual Life with Angie Thurston

This experiential workshop will introduce key insights from Sacred Design Lab’s last decade of research on the changing religious landscape and the needs of spiritual innovators, led by Co-Founder and Executive Director Angie Thurston. The session will offer practical frameworks for understanding and addressing the spiritual longings of rising generations amidst religious change, as well as speaking to the needs of faith leaders who are being asked to address these spiritual longings in new ways. After sharing insights from the field, Angie will lead participatory exercises to support participants in integrating these insights into their innovation and leadership. She will focus on exploring how faith leaders might cultivate the inner, relational, and outer conditions for the soulful evolution of their ministry and the church as a whole. 

By the end of the session, participants will leave with

• A view of the changing religious landscape and stories of spiritual innovation from around the world
• Broadly accessible language to describe spiritual longings, for those within and outside of organized religion
• Frameworks for understanding spiritual innovation and the needs of spiritual innovators 
• New learning about how to create containers of belonging that address the soul needs of today 
• An experience of the collective power of cultivating spiritual depth within the context of ministry in a changing world
