One popular offering is the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. The exercises are a creative and flexible program of prayer and meditation centered on the life of Jesus in the Gospels, meant to help you grow in discernment and to find God in all things. The Annand Program offers YDS students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to participate (free of charge) in the Exercises over the course of nine months during the academic year. This involves meeting weekly with one of the Annand mentors who is trained to lead people through the Exercises and committing to individual daily prayer over the nine months.
I am so very grateful for my spiritual director who encouraged me with gentle wisdom and deep kindness through these centuries-old spiritual disciplines. The fruit of these exercises has been the joy of a deeper faith and a revitalized way of being. I will forever be so very thankful for the gift of the Annand Program.
