20: Astronomy and Faith with Graziella di Tullio Zinn

Graziella di Tullio Zinn is a native of Chioggia (Venice), Italy. She holds a doctorate in astrophysics from the University of Padua, a Master in Science and Faith from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome, and a Certificate in Catholic Theology from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. She is also interested in social justice and was the chair of the Human Rights and Human Relations Commission of the Town of Hamden, Connecticut for several years. She is a former Staff Astronomer of the University of Padua, where she was immersed in the scientific legacy of Galileo. She is a member of the International Astronomical Union.

Dr. Zinn has been part of the Yale Community for decades in various capacities, including in her semiretirement years. She has taught Astronomy courses for Yale undergraduate students and for members of the Yale Alumni College and has given public presentations focusing on the dialogue between Astronomy and Faith.
