The Rev’d Rob Fisher is Rector of St. John’s Lafayette Square, known as the “Church of the Presidents.” He joins us to talk about his vocation story and what it’s like to be the priest at a church where people’s lives and careers revolve around politics. Rob Fisher

The Rev’d Rob Fisher is Rector at St. John’s Lafayette Square in Washington, DC. Fisher, originally from California, studied at Yale University as an undergraduate. He studied Japanese and sang with the Yale Russian Chorus. After college, he moved back to California as an organizer on environmental issues. When he discerned a call to holy orders, he returned to Yale for an MDiv from Yale Divinity School with a Diploma in Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. He has served at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, St. Bartholomew’s Church in New York City, and churches in San Marino, Santa Barbara, and Carmel Valley, California.
