As the weekend of protests in cities across the U.S. over police brutality and unaddressed systemic racism unfolded, the simmering fear and confounding loss from the pandemic continued to boil. Our Presiding Bishop’s sermon on Pentecost gave direction and purpose for Christians in this painful, hopeful time. I commend it here as you face the challenges before you. We keep you in our prayers and are inspired by your lives of courage and service.
