Berkeley is celebrating the arrival of many new faces in its community. The school’s new dean, Andrew McGowan, arrived from Australia in July and has started settling in to his new leadership position. The Class of 2017, with 26 members, will begin arriving on campus soon. And the school is also celebrating the successful completion of its Annual Appeal. Thanks to more than 500 gifts from graduates, friends, and parishes, as well as many matching gifts, Berkeley was able to surpass its goal. The development office is also celebrating, a bit wistfully, the retirement of Gail Chiasson, the senior administrative assistant in development. Gail has served the school since 2007 and been with Yale for a decade. So it’s a joyful hail and a sad farewell to these members of the Berkeley community.

Tuesday Rupp ‘13 M.Div. a Berkeley and ISM graduate and active organizer of music in Marquand Chapel during her time here, is featured in a new video produced by Church of the Heavenly Rest in New York City. Tuesday was recently appointed Director of Children and Family Ministries at Heavenly Rest, and the video tells the story of the church’s Confirmation program. When Tuesday was appointed, Matthew Heyd ‘95 M.A.R., rector of Heavenly Rest, cited Tuesday’s “amazing contributions” to Heavenly Rest and her “diverse and considerable gifts for ministry.”
