Berkeley Divinity School: Why Give?

Unique among Episcopal seminaries, Berkeley offers its students the intellectual rigor and vast resources of Yale University, as well as the broad communal life and training of an interdenominational divinity school, which is Yale Divinity School.

Berkeley students receive their degree from Yale, and either a diploma or certificate in Anglican Studies from Berkeley. All tuition supports the ecumenical YDS academic program, so Berkeley must rely on endowment performance and gifts from graduates and friends to support its additional work of preparing students for leadership in the Episcopal Church through worship and prayer, pastoral formation, and focused Anglican Studies.

Your gift to Berkeley helps to provide a full academic, professional and spiritual formation for these students in all areas of Anglican theology, liturgy and worship life. It will allow us to continue the Berkeley tradition of preparing outstanding leadership for the Episcopal Church, to lead it “into the regions beyond.”
