2017 Wesley-Royce Symposium: Leadership in the 1st and 21st Centuries

Are you a Berkeley graduate from the classes of 2001-2016? Please plan to join us June 5-6 at the Greenberg Center (Betts House, adjacent to Yale Divinity School), for an opportunity to reflect, pray, celebrate, and network. The theme is “Leadership in the 1st and 21st Centuries.”

Keynote addresses will be offered by the Rev. Dr. C.K. (Chuck) Robertson, Canon for the Presiding Bishop for Ministry Beyond the Episcopal Church. Chuck Robertson holds a Ph.D. from Durham University and has worked for the Church on the parochial, diocesan, Church-wide and Communion levels, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and General Editor for the Studies in Episcopal and Anglican Theology series of Peeters Press. He is the author of over a dozen books, including Barnabas vs Paul: To Encourage or Confront, which will be a resource for our time together.

In addition to Canon Robertson, the schedule will feature the Rev. Cathy George, Associate Dean and Director of Formation at Berkeley, The Rev. Dr. William Rich of Trinity Church, Boston, and Berkeley’s Director of Advancement, Pam Wesley-Gomez. Additionally, Dean Andrew McGowan will contribute to corporate prayer and discussion, and like other leaders be available for personal consultations throughout the symposium.

Unlike in previous years, this year’s symposium is being offered by invitation only, so as to provide a focused opportunity for reflection, networking, and conversation for an identified constituency of earlier- and mid-career alums. If you would like to be included but don’t fall into this group, please contact us anyway. For more information and to reserve your place, please contact Kira Wishart (kira.wishart@yale.edu).
